Welcome to WHRO's Membership site. WHRO Public Television and Radio is a non-commercial, educational institution and cultural resource dedicated to enriching the Hampton Roads community through our public television, public radio, education, internet, video conferencing, digital wireless cable, teleconferencing, and satellite uplink services. We hope that by joining us you, as a member, will enjoy watching and listening to WHRO with the spirit of knowing that your contribution helps to make all of this possible.  Remember that your gift is tax deductible as well!


Why should I become a Member?
WHRO’s fundamental priorities focus on providing our community a medium which informs, educates, and enriches. Through education, cultural enrichment, and citizenship we seek to help our community understand and participate in local, national, and global events that affect their lives.  WHRO provides a service that is open to public input with program offerings and services built around our region’s needs.

Our basic membership level is $48 ($25 for seniors and students). Your membership ensures that WHRO is able to provide broadcast and educational services to citizens throughout southeast Virginia and surrounding communities.

Member Benefits
At the $48 level or higher, your membership includes a complimentary one year subscription to WHRO Dimensions, our monthly program guide. This guide includes important member information, announcements for special "member only" events and programming information for Channel 15, 90.3 WHRO FM and 89.5 WHRV FM. Contributors at the basic membership level receive a 10% discount on home videos purchased through PBS Home Video and VideoFinders.

In addition, all memberships of $65 or more receive WHRO’s "Passport Program" card which offers discounts and premiums that may be used at many local attractions, theatres, and restaurants. The WHRO PASSPORT card and a participating restaurant guide are sent to all Passport level members who join or renew at the $65 level.
