WHRO 90.3FM to conduct Classical Commuter Experiment – in Stressbusting!

Norfolk:    Public Radio Station WHRO 90.3 invites the community to participate in a Classical Commuter Experiment in Stressbusting.

An Associated Press article printed in the October 11th edition of the Virginian Pilot touted a new classical release that was prompted by a study at Case-Western Reserve University.  The study found that music with a tempo of 60 to 80 beats per minute has both a physically and an emotionally soothing effect on the listener.

On Friday, October 13th, beginning at 4:30pm, WHRO 90.3FM play all the pieces on that new CD, giving listeners a chance to test the calming effects of the music for themselves in Friday afternoon rush hour traffic.  WHRO hopes to keep Hampton Roads tranquillo during rush hour traffic and help VDOT – all at the same time!

Listeners can join the control group by tuning in to 90.3 WHRO FM Friday afternoon at 4:30 when Taylor Green will play beautiful music scientifically shown to connect to and support the steady rhythm of a healthy heart.
