WHRV 89.5FM PRESENTS SECOND SEASON OF R&B CHRONICLES
Public Radio Host and Jazz Artist Jae Sinnett to Produce and Host

Norfolk:  The R&B Chronicles – a weekly 60-minute radio retrospective of classic African American R&B and Soul music – which debuted on WHRV 89.5FM on January 5, 2007, will begin its second year with a stellar lineup of artists whose music will be explored by popular jazz artist and WHRV producer/announcer/educator Jae Sinnett.

During its first year of production, The R&B Chronicles doubled its listenership, attracting listeners new and old to its exploration of American rhythm & blues and soul music.  This year, Sinnett will feature the music of legendary performers Graham Central Station, Lou Rawls, The Four Tops, Sam Cooke, Ray Charles, Parliament/Funkadelic, The Spinners and Otis Redding, and many more.
In addition to his radio hosting duties, Sinnett tours with The Jae Sinnett Trio, giving concerts and workshops all over the country.  He has six recordings to his name, and has performed with some of the top names in jazz, such as Freddie Hubbard, Joe Henderson, Chuck Mangione, Branford Marsalis, Cyrus Chestnut and many, many more.

We’ve been very gratified by the response to The R&B Chronicles,” says Sinnett, “and will continue to expand our listenership with this classic soul music.”
